According to the latest data, exports from Castilla-La Mancha have reached a historic high for the month of February, surpassing 906.5 million€. In the first two months of 2025, the region’s total exports have approached 1.8 billion€, marking an increase of over 11% compared to the same period last year. This notable growth further consolidates Castilla-La Mancha’s position as one of Spain’s most dynamic regions in terms of foreign trade at the beginning of the year.
The 11.1% increase places Castilla-La Mancha as the third most dynamic autonomous community in Spain for export activity in early 2025, trailing only the Balearic and Canary Islands. Significant gains have been recorded across key sectors, particularly the agri-food industry, which remains the leading contributor to the region’s exports. This sector alone generated 635.2 million€ in the first two months—an increase of 9.4% year-on-year. Exports of consumer goods also showed strong performance, totalling 217.5 million€, up by 10.2%.
At the provincial level, export performance varied. Albacete recorded a robust increase of 16.34% in February, with exports nearing 139 million€. Cuenca experienced the highest growth rate at 21.5%, exceeding 83 million€. Guadalajara’s exports rose by 4.25% to more than 236.9 million€. Toledo saw a 9.5% increase, reaching over 262 million€. Conversely, Ciudad Real experienced a decline of 9.8%, with exports totalling 186.2 million€.
These figures underscore the region’s resilience and growing international competitiveness across multiple economic sectors.
